GCCIT IP Trunking service is designed for larger Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) or Carriers who need 1Mbps and more as downlink from the Internet. In addition, the service is ideal for customers of ISP’s, with direct connection requirements to the Internet.

GCCIT 's IP Trunking service supports data communication utilising GCCIT’s own satellite capacity on NSS6 located 95° West, as well as third party capacity on other satellites including NSS7 , W6 and YamalSat.

The teleport facility is based on VSAT equipment ranging from 1.2m to 16m antennas, with high speed modems connected via redundant Cisco Routers that are multi homed with Tier 1 providers.

GCCIT supports delivery of the IP Trunking service utilising 8PSK Modulation and Turbo Product Coding (TPC) through:

· DVB-S and DVB-S2 (Frame relay technology) providing a multiplex of IP data to remote locations.

· SCPC services for simplex return channels and duplex operation for bit rates up to 20Mbps.

· Distributed Full Mesh Networks (Hub-less), capable of providing single hop connectivity, burstable bandwidth and Network Control remotely via SNMP.
